"SeaWorld vs. The Whale that Killed Its Trainer"

Before reading this article, I knew only a little about the incident with Tilikum. I had some opinions about SeaWorld, that these whales shouldn't be kept in such small quarters because they were made to be in an ocean with a lot of room. I also believed, that even though they weren't in the best living conditions for their species, that SeaWorld really did care about their animals and took care of them. After reading the article I still believe that SeaWorld cares for their animals, especially when the author was talking about Dr. Lanny Cornell. He went out of his way too make Kieko's life better when he was in Mexico by bringing him better fish too eat and coolers for the water. The author even pointed out that Keiko wasn't SeaWorlds whale so there was no profit from helping him. I also believe that these whales are not "evil" creatures, they just don't belong in the environment that they are put in. The whales are meant to be in a big open space, and being confined to their tank could be the reason for many whales "homicidal" tendencies. I mean if I was confined to a tiny space for most of my life, I'd go a little crazy too.
