"SeaWorld Vs. the Whale That Killed Its Trainer"

This article is directed at people who currently have nothing against SeaWorld, the author would like them to, and people who are against killer whales in captivity because this article with strengthen their beliefs. I found this article to be very biased and critical. It is an opinion piece so it is entitled to be this way. I also thought it was interesting that they chose to put a picture, to grab peoples attention to the article because the image was one that shows people happily looking at the whales in captivity.
The goal of the summary and the bolded lettering on the top of the second page, is clearly to get more viewers for the documentary. I have only seen parts of the documentary, and I have no desire to see any more of it at all. I am already against the killer whales being kept in captivity, and I don’t need any further convincing. I have also been to SeaWorld in Orlando. I didn’t find it particularly cool because I much preferred Disney World.
The authors’ constant critique of SeaWorld was very interesting but it is clearly only one side of the story. I thought he relayed too many opinions and not enough quotes or facts. Some of the things he said didn’t make sense to me. Such as on the ninth page when he gives the coroners report then goes on to question why the whale having swallowed the arm wasn’t in the report. Why would that be in the report?
The author has a clear dislike of SeaWorld. That is blatantly clear. I also thought that some of his snarky sarcastic remarks were unnecessary.  This article gave insight into why people should dislike SeaWorld and why killer whales shouldn’t be in captivity, however I think the article was missing some key point about the cases he referred to, and SeaWorld in general.
